Bill and Connie purchased Rubicon in 2004 and produced recycled plastic bird feeders and bird houses. We opened the "store" in the front room of the building on Hwy 155 in Flint as a factory store for feeders. Customers kept asking for additional birding items and so Rubicon Wild Birds and More was established in 2007. On July 1, 2016 Rubicon moved to our new location on Old Jacksonville Road (aka FM 2493).

One of the more popular events held at Rubicon has been birding seminars. Speakers are brought in from as far away as Missouri to speak on various birds. These events are free and well attended.
